Flooring Care Guide
Proper care and maintenance help preserve the appearance and performance of your floor. Review the guidance below for routine cleaning, prevention, and environmental care.

Dirt, moisture, harsh cleaners, direct sunlight, furniture movement, and humidity changes can all affect flooring over time. A consistent care routine helps reduce damage and supports long-term product performance.
Vacuum, sweep, or dust mop at least once a week, or more often as needed.
Remove spills and tracked-in dirt immediately to help prevent damage.
Water and excess liquid may permanently damage wood flooring and void warranties.

Vacuum, sweep, or dust mop regularly. Use brush or felt vacuum heads and avoid beater bars or hard heads. A swivel-head mop with a cloth cover can help remove fine grit and dirt.
Wipe spills and tracked-in dirt immediately. Do not wet mop or allow excess cleaner to remain on the floor’s surface, since liquid can damage wood fibers.
Use interior and exterior doormats to collect dirt and moisture. Area rugs are recommended at sinks, pivot points, and high-traffic areas, but avoid solid rubber or vinyl backings.
Use clean, well-maintained furniture leg protector pads. Do not roll or slide heavy objects directly across the floor, and replace hard, narrow rollers with wide rubber rollers.
Protect flooring from direct sunlight with curtains or UV-resistant film. Maintain recommended humidity and room temperature levels to help reduce seasonal movement.
Products to Avoid
Avoid ammonia-based cleaners, acrylic finishes, wax-based products, detergents, bleach, polishes, oil soap, abrasive cleaning soaps, vinegar, or other acidic materials. These products may damage the finish or interfere with recommended maintenance materials.
