MODEL 90 VERTI-KARRIER

  • GRAB, LIFT, MOVE, and PLACE DRUMS ALMOST ANYWHERE
  • Load drums into remote or hard-to-reach areas
    1. Attach the Verti-karrier to your hoist
    2. Move the Karrier to drum and then lift
    3. It grips automatically
    4. Releases the load when the drum is set down. 
    Grip will not disconnect until the drum is fully down.
  • The operator's only duties are to operate the hoist and guide the grab into position. Moving drums to and from difficult locations saves operator and equipment time, and protects against dangerous climbing. The grab mechanism is simple.

MODEL 91 LIFTER FOR DRUMS and OVERPACKS

  • For placing 55 gallon (210 liter) steel drums into overpack or salvage drums.
  • Can also lift 85 gallon steel overpack drums.
  • Effective and simple to use with carefully designed ice-tong-like geometry and broad faced, thin profile grippers.
  • Broadness of grippers spreads holding force to minimize pressure on drum.
  • Narrow profile enables it to lower the drum completely into the overpack.
  • Can also be used to lift and move the closed salvage drum.
  • Capacity: 1,000 Lb. (454 kg)

MODEL 92 LIFTER FOR PLASTIC, FIBRE and STEEL DRUMS.

Lifts typical rimmed plastic drums in 30 to 55 gallon sizes.

 

 

Lifts 18-1/2" ID, 19" OD fibre drum. Use for drums with suitable rims in diameter range 18" to 26" (46-66cm).

  • Has self-adjusting tong-like action
  • Automatically grips various common types of closed steel, fibre or plastic drums.

MODEL 42 DRUM LIFTER

  • Heavy duty drum lifter for use on a hoist hook or fork mounted hook.
  • Made with a pair of forged hooks for engaging the rims at opposite ends of the drum.
  • Pair of alloy steel lifting rings provides for two modes of lifting:
    1. Drum horizontal
    2. Drum in off-vertical
  • Enables upending and downending drums.
  • Lower drum until its bottom corner meets the floor, then guide drum to settle upright or allow it to tilt down to horizontal.
  • Alloy chain, alloy links and alloy lifting rings are combined with heavy duty steel rod with welded eyes to provide a heavy duty assembly. The forged steel hooks are shaped to engage drum rims.
  • Capacity: 2,000 Lb. (909 kg)
  • Model 42 is self-colored, without blue paint
  • Model 42-G is same style lifter with hot dip galvanized finish

Morse below-the-hook drum lifters (i.e. Models 85A, 185A, 90, 41, etc.) are manufactured by Morse Mfg. Co., Inc. in East Syracuse, NY 13057. These drum lifters comply with ANSI/ASME B30.20 standard for mechanical, below-the-hook lifting devices as it applies to the following:

  • Rated load markings and unit identification
  • Minimum design safety factor of 3, based on yield strength, for load bearing structural components
  • Welding is performed by certified welders who have passed the ANSI/AWS D1.1 welding qualification test
